This print was made from an illustration I did for my book, “The Stone Heart Turtle People: The Place of the Springs,” Book One in a three-part series of books about my shamanic experiences, which is now available in both PDF and eBook formats. This image depicts Turtle’s first journey North to meet his eternal love, Stone Woman.
BOOK EXCERPT from PART THREE: CEREMONY, Chapter Thirteen
“One day, as Turtle swam slowly through the Turquoise Mystery of his home in the Southern Seas, he became aware of a particular current that was different from all others. It hummed and vibrated with a mysterious, rhythmic song that he could barely hear, but to which he was powerfully attracted. As though aware somehow of Turtle’s interest in it, the beautiful song slowly flowed outwards from within the current, pulsing through his Turquoise home, causing the waters in which he floated to shimmer with a wonderfully vibrant energy. Stone Woman’s Heart-Song was flowing South from the deeps of the stormy gray-blue North Atlantic, calling Turtle.
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah
Entranced, Turtle entered the swirling current from which the mysterious song flowed and swam North as though drawn by a powerful magnet.”
